The Split:Holmes painted a vision of autonomous, touchless biochemistry run from a single fingerstick drop. Behind locked doors, staff were manually diluting blood in pipettes to run on commercial Siemens analyzers while Holmes and Balwani texted about praying for miracles.
Whenever a biotech founder describes their diagnostic device as an automated black box that 'removes human hands', ask to see the third-party analyzer in the basement.
